My holistic and individualised approach focuses on the mind-body connection. People often come to me following a life crisis, and have realised they themselves are the obstacle to their optimal health and wellbeing. They recognise the key to living optimally is in their own hands, or more precisely, in their own mind and the way they think.

With this in mind, I use a number of modalities that span the physical, emotional and spiritual including nutrition, herbal medicine, EFT , laughter, prayer, meditation, visualisation and movement to name a few. I am constantly amazed and encouraged by how symptoms dissolve and every facet of life falls in to place when we live with conscious awareness and appreciation of our individuality.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM A PRIVATE CONSULTATION?

“Shalani’s recommendations for nutrition isn’t about protein shakes and lettuce leaves. I am now eating more wholesome, unprocessed food that tastes good and my body fat has decreased. I didn’t have to give up beer or chocolate, just moderated my intake!”

I firmly believe in our body’s innate intelligence to be well and that we are the sum total of our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual lives. Working with me means all of these areas are considered, regardless of why you are seeing me.

I will look at where you are with your overall health right now, how you got there, and how you can move forward with your current circumstances in mind. As a result, you will gain new knowledge and information to empower you to make the best choices for YOU. A consultation with me is not about health being done TO you. I give you the tools based on my many years of experience, and it is up to you to decide how you use them.

My approach is slow and steady, so rarely will I recommend drastic changes to the way you eat or your lifestyle. You will be recommended small manageable steps to build upon, as you feel ready.

I believe the magic happens when we work together in a group scenario.

Group education is my favourite way to work. Sharing information this way is a wonderful way to create community, something increasingly lacking in our world today.

Be it a conference, mother’s group, school, staff room, boardroom, wellness event, community group or a collection of interested friends in your lounge room, dining room, or kitchen. Topics can be tailored to suit your group. They are relaxed, informative, supportive and loads of fun.
