Over the last week or so, much to my 22 year old son's disgust, we have turned off our wifi and mobile phones at night.
The positive change in our sleep has been VERY noticeable.
Bruce had been struggling for quite a while which is what caused me to give this a go. From the first night he had the best sleep in ages and this has continued.
I usually have no problem sleeping so that didn't change for me. What I did notice however is that I felt a lot fresher and alert when I woke in the morning.
We have moved from a huge two story home to a tiny townhouse and I truly believe we are being bombarded not only by our own wifi but other people's as well.
Next thing I did was to turn off the wifi during the day as well, only turning it on for certain periods to work and the change in my productivity and energy is fantastic.
I have now also disconnected our cordless phones - we don't use our landline anyway.
Last night I kept the wifi on to see if there was any difference. I didn't tell Bruce. Well we both had a bad nights sleep which is unusual for me.
I know this is one of those topics that has people divided however our little n=1 experiment is enough for me.
I can't totally eliminate our exposure to EM radiation however I can reduce it as much as possible.
We haven't had a microwave oven in years, I use my mobile phone on speaker and avoid carrying it on my body.
In clinic I have personally seen in lab results, men's sperm change from deformed to normal when they changed and limited their device usage.
There are numerous case studies of the change in behaviour and health conditions of people, children in particular when exposed to EM radiation.
In addition brain surgeon, Charlie Teo, has seen not only the increase in brain tumours since mobile phone usage but also a consistency with the location being associated with where a person would hold a mobile phone. I shudder when I see children playing with their parent's phones, let alone using them, holding them up to their heads to speak to Daddy or Grandma etc and children on ipads numerous times a day.
Like so many health related issues today, there is much conflicting information about the safety or not of wifi/EM radiation etc so this is obviously an each to their own topic - you have to decide what you believe for yourself.
